Judge agents by completed tasks

Move beyond impressive demos to repeatable, verifiable results.

Evaluation is moving toward whole tasks

Anthropic’s 2026 article on agent evaluation discusses tasks, execution and scoring. For users, the practical lesson is to assess a plausible answer separately from a successfully completed task.

Create a small acceptance checklist

For a project management interface, check more than whether a page was generated. Test creating a project, entering data, cancelling, submitting an empty form and returning to the list. Record expected results to make quality measurable. This is practical advice, not a released UBAI automated evaluation feature.

Watch how failure is handled

Test lost connections, missing images, long text and repeated clicks. Failure does not always invalidate an approach; what matters is preserving input, explaining next steps and recovering. Evaluate these edge cases as well as the happy path.
